YORK Henrietta Stees Thompson, 95, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late William T. Thompson. A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick Cemetery, Starcross Road, York, with the Rev. Amy Shultz officiating. Born September 29, 1917, in York, she was a daughter of the late Milton G. and Sarah E. (Scheffer) Stees. She retired from York Hospital in 1979 as a medical technologist after 35 years of service. She was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Golden Nuggets, Goodwill Fire Company #1 York Twp., and a charter member of the National Histological Society. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Stees and Edward Stees; and a sister, Charlotte Burgard.
