Karen June (Crum) Marshall, 57, lost her battle with ovarian cancer on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at her home in Front Royal, Virginia with her loving family by her side.

From her birth in Manassas, VA on June 28, 1958 to her death, she cherished, valued, and loved her family and many friends she had through out her lifetime.

She was born in Manassas to William and Ethel (Hess) Crum and was one of six children.

Just after high school she met the love of her life, Danny Allen Marshall, and they were happily married for 39 years. Karen and Danny married on September 18, 1976 in Manassas.

Following their marriage Karen was a housewife raising four children while Danny worked in the bread business where he was the Owner & Operator of D&K Enterprize.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend.

She loved every person she met and to many of her children's friends she was "Mom" as well. Many of her friends would say she was hilarious, fun, loved to laugh, and the life of the party.

She always knew how to have a great time and enjoyed get-togethers, cookouts, and anything as long as she was with family and friends. She had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She was the epitome of a giving and loving person. She would do anything for her family and always knew what to say to make things better, as any great wife and mother knows how.

Left to honor Karen and remember her love are Karen's four children, Daniel Marshall, Michael (Erin) Marshall, Katie (Jason) Dingus, and Jessica (Amanda Reinoehl) Marshall; four grandchildren, Alexander Dingus, Aaron Rock, Sadie Marshall, and Gunnar Marshall; two sisters, Linda (James) Quaid and Teresa (Lawrence) Weber; two brothers, Gary Crum and Robert (Sandy) Crum, and many nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Marilyn.

Funeral services will be open to the public and held on Wednesday, November 18th at 11 a.m. at Turner Robertshaw Funeral Home, 1200 N. Shenandoah Ave, Front Royal, VA 22630.

Burial will follow at Panorama Memorial Gardens in Strasburg, VA.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17th at Turner Robertshaw Funeral Home.

The Marshall family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Winchester Medical Center and hospice care, specifically those who cared for Karen and for their attentiveness and loving care.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Karen's name to the Cancer Center Foundation, P.O. Box 3340, Winchester, VA 22604.
