John and Maria Clinton, were Canadians by birth, were married in 1831, and settled in Brant County. John Sr., who had been a farmer by occupation, and who died in 1872, married his second wife, Mary McCrimmon, of Shediac, New Brunswick on Jan.28, 1838.
