Victoria T. Boyd, 97, of Naches, died April 27, 2016, at Cottage in the Meadow. Victoria was born December 5, 1918, in Naches, WA, to James A. and Mary (McCulloch) Templeton. She attended CWSU and married Hugh Gibb Boyd in Ellensburg on November 19, 1944. Victoria lived most of her life in the Naches area, working for Snokist for 33 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of Naches Presbyterian Church and the Naches Boot & Spur Club. Victoria enjoyed cooking, gardening, horses and sewing, but most of all being with children and grandchildren. Hugh passed away in 1978. Her only child, Mary Ellen, passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brother Hugh J. Templeton.
Surviving family includes her grandchildren: Doug Barton, John Barton, Lorrie Bailey, Ellen Barton, and Marc Smith (Julia); great grandchildren: Tyler Maher, Jacob Muzzal, Jessica Bryant (Anthony), Sandra Munguia (Juan), Trevor Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Amy Bailey, Whitney Smith, Cody Smith, and Tim Smith; and 3 great great grandchildren; nephews John Boyd (Linda) and George Boyd (Louise). Victoria was loved by many friends and family.
Visitation will be offered Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors, 201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with final committal following at Wenas Cemetery.
