John Lawrence "Pops" Cornwell Jr of Cherry Valley, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of seventy-two. He was born in Wynne, Arkansas on October 30, 1943, the son of John Lawrence and Virginia Gahr Cornwell.
John worked for Halsted Industries for 21 years. He loved gardening, fishing, having barbecue cookouts with family and friends and aggravating anyone he possibly could. He never met a stranger and had a nickname for everyone he came in contact with.
Mr Cornwell was preceded in death by his parents: John Cornwell Sr and Virginia Kirby, one sister: Mary Agnes Cornwell.
He is survived by sons: Martin "Puff" Cornwell and wife Rose of Wynne, Arkansas, John Cornwell III and wife Melissa of Wynne, Arkansas, Andy Wallis and wife Michelle of McCrory, Arkansas, Randy Wallis and wife Hannah of Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, life partner: Janie Wallis, two sisters: Bernadine Cornwell of Searcy, Arkansas, Helen Edna Huntszieker of Searcy, Arkansas, nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held: Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at the Thompson-
