Jacqueline Frances Wash­ington, 75, passed away on Sept. 2, 2015, in Anchorage, Alaska. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Legacy Witzleben Chapel, 1707 S Bragaw Street in Anchorage. Burial will be held after the service, at noon, at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery.
Jacqueline was born on March 11, 1940, in Paterson, N.J. She moved to Alaska in 1969, living in Anchorage and most recently, Valdez. She worked for Anchorage Natural Gas, ATU (Anchorage Telephone Utility) and was a small business owner. She also was a union representative. She enjoyed dancing, being outdoors and spending time with family.
Her family stated, "Jacque­line was beloved and adored by her family and friends. We will miss her kind spirit, her laughter, her hugs and her warm loving presence. She loved her family and noth­ing made her happier than to spend time with her children,
grandchildren and great­grandchildren.
We will cher­ish our memories with her as she now rests with the Lord and her treasured husband." She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Wash­ington; and her son, Adrian Washington.
Jacqueline is survived by her sister, Dorine Jackson; children, Tierney Wash­ington, Leslie Adams and Lamont Washington; grand­children, Amber Adams, Anthony Adams, Tyler Washington, Ashley Leleo, Kassidy Stewart, Brendan Liggon, Kyler Mallars and Myah Washington; and great­grandchildren, Da'Vaughnn Neumann, Tyler Washington
and Ashton Adams.
