Mr. McDonald was the owner of Hudson Pump Company and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
On April 29, 2016 our family said goodbye for now to our husband, father, grandfather and faithful friend surrounded by the love and friends over the past year, it was clear the legacy our grandfather was leaving behind. Servant, loving, kind, generous, compassionate, witty and Godly were all adjectives used when describing Terry. He always told us do not tell anything about me when I am gone, just tell them I was faithful—and we know that Jesus would agree. How blessed we were to love and be loved by him!
Survivors include his wife Janice Barnett McDonald of the home; one son, Spencer A. “Buck” McDonald of Hudson; one daughter, Terri Lynn Hoyle and husband Jeff of Lenoir; one brother, Dennis Keith McDonald of Blowing Rock; two sisters, Brenda Kay Salmon and husband David Lee of Charlotte and Diane Berry and husband Lee of Delaware; four grandchildren, Meggan Eckard and husband Daniel, Jordan Beane and husband Isaac, Seth McDonald and Austin McDonald; and one great-grandchild, Gunner Eckard.
