Jerry Dale Lawrence, 54, Moberly, MO passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Valley View Health and Rehab in Moberly, MO

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating.

Jerry was born in Columbia, MO on August 16, 1961 the son of Ira Lawrence and Geraldine Ann Snell. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Montie Wallace, and one brother, Greg Rochon.

Jerry was an active adventurous child. At the young age of 6, Jerry’s life was halted in a tragic accident, leaving him with severe brain damaged. With all his limitations, he still touched the lives of his family and caretakers.

God looked around His garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering and knew you were in pain. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Survivors include: four sisters, Susan Rogers (David), Cheryl Long (Dink), Diane Painter (Mike) and Debbie Wallace; two brothers, Bruce Rochon and Buddy Lawrence; two half sisters, Wanda Bradley and Teresa Bates and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Women’s & Children’s Hospital, 404 N Keene St, Columbia, MO 65201.
