BOAT CAPSIZED. On Wednesday two fishing boat fatalities occurred close to Folkestone Harbour, involving the loss of three lives. In one case a small boat capsized, with the result that two youths were drowned, and about three hours later a fisherman named John Fagg was knocked overboard and drowned. The boat which overturned was the Blue Ribbon. Manned by three youths, named John Mockeridge (19), Arthur (“Shoper”) Hall (19), and Edward Arthur Dalby, it was putting out to sea, when it capsized, the latter two being drowned. The accident happened not far from the end of the steam-boat pier. When the craft capsized the three young fellows clung to it, but Hall and Dalby became exhausted, slipped off, and sank. By a coincidence another boat sailing to port was Mockridge's father, who was instrumental in saving his son.

One body recovered.
On Tuesday last the body of Arthur Edmund Archibald Hall, one of the two youths who were drowned on October 9th by the capsizing of a boat near the Harbour, was recovered near the pier. An inquest was held at the Town Hall on Tuesday afternoon by the Borough Coroner (Mr. G.W. Haines) sitting without a jury.

The Funerals
The remains of Arthur Edmund Archibald Hall, were interred at the Cemetery on Saturday in the presence of a considerable number of people. Skipper Nicks of the Fishermen's Bethel, conducted the service, which was of a simple character.
