Raymond “Clyde” Black, 83, of Amarillo died Saturday, April 23, 2016.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Llano East Cemetery with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Military rites are by DAV Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mr. Black was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Stillwater, Okla. He moved from Oklahoma to Dumas in 1947 and graduated from Dumas High School. He entered the Army and served during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1955 and worked for Colorado Interstate Gas for more than 40 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loretta Diggs Black; a brother, Doyle Black; and a sister, Irene Bayless

Survivors include a niece, Sharon Cummins; and his close friends, Darlene Stowe, Susie Giffin and David Mixon.
