Morgan J. Miller Jr., 60, of 6022 S. Main St., died Sept. 30 at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Mr. Miller was a remedial reading teacher for pupils in kindergarten through sixth grade for the General Brown Central School District at Brownville for 29 years, retiring in 2002. Born July 26, 1946, in Watertown, son of Morgan and Bertha Robbins Miller, he graduated in 1964 from Sandy Creek High School and later from Jefferson Community College, Watertown. He received a master's degree from Oswego State Teachers College. Mr. Miller was a life resident of Sandy Creek. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Suzanne Russell; a daughter, Michele Miller, Sandy Creek; a son and his wife, James E. and Cathleen, East Syracuse; his mother, of Sandy Creek; a sister, Doris Robbins, Jamesville, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Linda P. Taber officiating. A reception at Sandy Creek Fire Hall will follow.
