JENNIFER “POOCHIE” LYNN KEEN LESTER, 57 years of age of Vansant, VA, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of Emma Jean (Looney) Keen, Vansant, VA, and the late Jimmy Edward Keen. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Church of Christ faith, having been baptized at Liberty Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, and was an avid animal lover and loved growing flowers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Emma Jean (Looney) Keen, Vansant, VA; her sister and caretaker, Keela Keen, Vansant, VA; her loving brother, Jimmy Dean Keen, Vansant, VA; special nephew, K. Tyler Keen, Vansant, VA; her daughter, Sara R. (Shane) Lester Skeens, Bradenton, FL; her grandchildren, Isaac and Jacob Skeens.
Also, survived by several aunts and uncles, including her special aunt, Ellen Kistner, Bristol, TN, and special friend, Patsy Grey, Richlands, VA.
