Phyllis was the daughter of Joseph & Anna DiBiase. The family consist of 6 daughters, 4 sons & at least 3 babies that died in infancy. We don't know the gender of the babies. Phyllis almost out-lived her whole immediate family except for her older sister, Frannie, who died 33 days later. The family lived in South Philadelphia.

Phyllis married Leon on Oct 6, 1947 & moved into the southwest section of Philadelphia where they had one son in 1951. Phyllis lost her husband in 1969 & the son supported her from then on. She has 3 grandchildren which one is deceased.

Philomena aged 90 years, 7 months, 27 days

She was laid to rest on May 3, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.

Frances DiGuglielmo* (Frannie)
Philomena Sumaliki* (Phyllis) (1 child)
Lillian Breve* (Lillie) (2 children)

*The four older sisters produced no children. Phyllis had one son after suffering many miscarriages. And her younger sister Lillian had 2 children.

There are about 4 names missing from the 1930 census. Since there's over an 11 year gap between Frank & Antoinette, the names would fit in there. There was a son (name unknown to us) that died as a child when he fell down an elevator shaft & a few babies died soon after birth. I found in the 1920 census another Rocco in this family born 1905 but not in the 1930 census. This may be the son that fell down the elevator shaft & then named another son born in 1923 Rocco too.

Philomena was the grandmother of Steven Sumaliki
