Both parents were immigrants from Sweden. Grew up on a farm in MN when the family name was Aveldson. Moved to Chicago in 1909 (to learn a trade) and lived with his Aunt Christina McLain; began to use surname Enevold. Attended LaSalle Ext University to learn Business. At one time had 25 employees in the real estate business, but the Depression brought that to an end. Moved to a farm in Michigan and raised fruit. Post-Depression, reopened Enevold Realty. In his later years, known in Libertyville as an award-winning gardener.
