Alice Louise Branscomb- October 6, 1921 to March 13, 2016. Louise was born in Metter, Ga to M.A. and Ada Hutchinson. Louise was a lifetime resident of Fort Pierce, she passed away peacefully at 94 years of age on March 13, 2016. Louise is survived by her daughters Lorriane Freeman, Diane Gunning, and her son, Mark Branscomb. She had a goodly number of grandkids, great grandkids and even great, great grandkids. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Robert E. Branscomb and her son, Robert E. Branscomb Jr. All of her life, Louise had a profound love and dedication to Jesus and to her life-long friends at Orange Avenue Baptist Church.

Louise was one of God's Angels that devoted herself to her faith, to her husband, to her children and to the rest of her family; all feeling so blessed to be a part of her life. While she will always be remembered by all who knew her for her huge heart and kind soul, it was her zest for life that was most contagious! Her love for summer was insatiable; whether she was traveling with the family, gardening with the grandchildren, singing out loud to her favorite song, Stardust, or playing scrabble at sundown- she was always showing everyone around her how to stay in touch, and to appreciate, the world. Louise was the epitome of exquisite southern charm and grace, solidifying this charm with true southern style, her renowned red velvet cake!

All that had the pleasure off knowing Louise know that her door, like her heart, was always open and her house always warm, it was that feeling of warmth that turned strangers into friends and friends into family. Louise will be remembered as a legend to many, and she will forever be loved by all.

A funeral service will begin at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Orange Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. Interment will be in Good Hope Cemetery in Fancy Gap, Virginia.
