Jeanette A. Kennedy, age 91, Shiocton, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died on Monday, April 15, 2013.

Jeanette was born on October 6, 1921, in Oshkosh daughter of Edward Doemel. She was united in marriage to George Kennedy on February 20, 1946.

Jeanette was active at the First Congregational Church of Christ, Shiocton and held many positions there. She was also a life long member of the Shiocton Legion Auxiliary and held many offices. She wrote for the Seymour Press and did volunteer work at the King Veterans Home. She enjoyed reading and crafting, mostly plastic canvas needlework.

Jeanette is survived by her children: Gary (Silvia) Kennedy, New London; Thom (Linda) Kennedy, Madison; Barbara Mannel (Special friend, Vince Duffy), Spring Grove, MN; Patty (Brian) Overturf, Sparta. Grandchildren: Lucas (Miranda) Kennedy, Dustin (Briana) Kennedy, Cameron Kennedy (fiancée Megan Hanks), Sheila and Jacob Overturf, Titus Overturf (special friend, Krissy), Sara Mannel (friend, Amy Miller), Donald Mannel, and Stacy Mannel. Great-grandchildren, Tristan and Connor Kennedy, Hannah Gruen, Leeland Roraff, and Lillian Horihan. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband George, son Edward, son-in-law, Ronald Mannel, and sisters: Ruth Harnitz and Lucille Lesperance.

Funeral services for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, April, 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Pastor Michael Isbill. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
