Andrew C. James, Jr., 82, of Bethel, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Regional Hospice and Homecare of Western CT.

Born in Danbury to the late Andrew C., Sr. and Victoria Ingram Jones, Andy was a 1953 graduate of Danbury High School.
Andy served in the US Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam eras, attaining the rank of Airman 1st Class.

Andy was a member of St. Thomas Church in Bethel, the VFW Post 149 and the American Legion Post 60.

Survivors include his sister: Forrista Joyce Abrew and her husband, Jose. His nieces and nephew: Sharon Maynard and her husband, St. Claire, of Florida; Maria Cherry and her husband, Clarence, of Danbury; Janet Gordon of Danbury; Victoria Watson of New York and William Dobbins of New York. Many great- nieces and great-nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11am on Monday, May 2, 2016 at St. Thomas Church, 95 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. Burial with military honors will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

There are no calling hours.
