Ruth Louise Wise, 96, died on Thursday, April 28, 2016. A service for Mrs. Wise will be held 2 pm, Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Barr Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel with The Rev. Clide Glover officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wise, wife of the late Jesse W. "Bill" Wise, Sr., was born in Blue Ridge, VA and was the daughter of the late Charlie O. and Rosa Lee Byars Williams. She lived most of her life in Cayce, SC and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She worked for Horseman Doll and Union Underwear.
She is survived by her children: Loretta (Joe) Spires, Billie (Clide) Glover and J. W. "Dub" (Carol) Wise; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Pat Waldrop; and brother-in-law: Bill Fouche. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Bobby Williams, Elaine Fouche, Charles Williams, Fred Williams, James Williams and Mary Lee Shaw.
