She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William A. Coning; parents, Coy and Cora Best; brothers, Fred, Truman, Claude and Lawrence "Shorty" Best.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Pearson Butler, Julia and Don Swaney; sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and Betty Coning, Frank and Janis Coning, all of Maryville; grandchildren, William and Robin Butler of Madang, Papua New Guinea, James and Donna Butler, Teresa and Scott Edmondson, Billy and Lynn Coning, Bobby Coning, Beth and Jimmy Lane, Chris Coning, Nicole Coning, all of Maryville, Tammy and Ric Wright of Chattanooga; eight great grandchildren; sister, Edith Dawson of Santa Ana, Calif.; brothers, Edgar, Burl and Vern Best, all of Maryville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Wells officiating. The interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends' from 6-8 p.m. today at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pioneer Bible Translators for the mission work of William and Robin Butler, 2710 Taylor Road, Maryville, Tenn. 37803.
