ABNEY, James Wesley Sr.
Passed away in Lancaster, Calif., on December 30, 2009, following a long illness. "Jim" was born February 3, 1936, in Winchester, Kentucky. He moved to Burbank, Calif., in 1965, where he was employed as machinist. Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Nedra "Kay" Abney in 2001. He is survived by his children; Catherine and son-in-law Gunars of Lancaster, Calif., Gena and son-in-law Louie of Idaho, James Jr. of Washington, and Brian of Kentucky. He is also survived by his sister, Wanda "JoAnn" of Florida and his brother Robert "Bobby" of Louisiana. Jim has 5 grandchildren; Shannon, Lindsay, Nickolas, Bobby and Gena. He has three great-grandchildren; Riley, Evan, and Teagan. he will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. All of us will remember him fondly for his generosity and wonderful sense of humor.
