William B. Beardsley, 70, of 281 Shelburne Road, died early Monday morning at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont after a sudden illness. Mr. Beardsley was the proprietor of Beardsley's Cleaners of Burlington and Shelburne. He was born on July 28, 1906, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the son of William J. and Harriet (Burr) Beardsley. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha (Hazen) Beardsley; three daughters, Mrs. James M. (Harriet) Hawkins of Dayton, Ohio, Miss Esther E. Beardsley of Burlington, and Mrs. Donald (Judy) Lussier of Burlington; one sister, Mrs. Arthur F. (Esther) Wollenhaupt of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; three grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
