Dr. C. P. Garcia, M.D., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the age of 92 years. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. Dr. Garcia served the Southeast Community of San Antonio as a physician from 1970 to 2013. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II. He was a member of the American G.I. Forum, LULAC, was a lifetime member of the VFW and was very active in the Democratic Party. Dr. Garcia along with his wife Elizabeth were leaders in the grassroots effort for the building of the Alamo Dome. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth C. Garcia; children, Adrian A. Garcia, Dr. Libby Garcia and husband Tom DeNiro, Dr. Damian D. Garcia and wife Christine, and Clotilde Marigayle Arambula and husband Joseph; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Dr. Dalia P. Garcia; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Monday, May 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd for Mass to be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
