Mr. Jewell Lee Jones, better known as "Jake", age 87, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away April 27, 2016. Born in Fayette County, GA, he was the son of the late William Kenneth Jones and Susie Smith Jones. He was a retired truck driver for Trans US Trucking Line. He was a member of the Tri State Christian Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Miguel Vila and Rev. Ed Stamey officiating. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
