Rites Tomorrow For Rev. Parker Of Citrus Heights
Funeral services for the Rev. Teddy "Ted" Claude Parker of Citrus Heights will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Roseville First Assembly of God Church, Clinton and Bonita Avenues, with the Rev. Robert W. Pirtle officiating.
Reverend Parker,56, a native of Woodbine, Ia., died Saturday at his home, 7569 Sunrise Avenue, Citrus Heights. He had been pastor of the Citrus Heights Assembly of God Church for the past year. Coming to Bakersfield from Nebraska in 1919, Parker completed high school there and was graduated from a Bible institute in San Francisco. Thirty-five years of ministry followed, during which he served churches in Oildale, Tracy, Stockton and Biggs, and other parts of California. He was a member of the General Council of the Assembly of God, and also held a membership in Carpenters Union Local No. 1147 of Roseville.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mabel Parker of Citrus Heights; three sons, Ted C. Parker Jr., of Manteca, Warren L. and Norman D. of Citrus Heights; and two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Koress of Chicago and Mrs. Roxanne Knowlton of Roseville. There are four grandchildren.
