Brandon David Rogers, age 24, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on November 3, 2015. Brandon is survived by his parents, Ronald David and Angela Kay "Angie" (Stooksberry) Rogers; twin sister Blair McCurdy and her husband Alex; maternal grandfather Cecil Stooksberry; paternal grandmother Rosemary Rogers; aunts and uncles Cecil and Kim Stooksberry, Jr., and daughter Jayme Murphy; Jerry Stooksberry; Tim and Amy Stooksberry and children Connor, Dylan and Courtney; Harold and Diane Rogers and children Becca, Jeremy, and Matthew, and his wife Ali Rogers. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lillie Belle Stooksberry, and paternal grandfather Harold Brewer Rogers, Jr.

Brandon was born June 21, 1991. He graduated in 2009 from Plano East Senior High School, where he was on the golf team. He loved all sports, but golf and basketball were his favorites. People who knew and loved Brandon describe him as a fiercely loyal friend, one who could always be depended on and always made people laugh. He was a very passionate person; whatever he did, he did wholeheartedly. People were drawn to his ever-present smile and his outgoing, upbeat manner. He had a great love for animals, growing up with a houseful of dogs and cats. He dreamed of getting a college degree and one day opening a pet resort.

Brandon's happiest times were those spent with family, especially reunions and holidays. He loved his twin sister Blair immensely and relished spending time with his cousins.

We know that Brandon is safe at home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Brandon fought with courage and determination to overcome the illness of addiction. He experienced firsthand the challenges and difficulty of overcoming this disease. For those who struggle with this disease, we encourage you to seek help through Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or another 12-step program.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Woodcreek Church, Richardson, Texas.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
