Earl Dean Rowland, Fair Grove, Missouri, son of Troy Thomas and Lettie Mae (Johnston) Rowland, was born March 2, 1932 in Red Top, Missouri, and departed this life April 27, 2016. At the time of his passing he was eighty-four years old.
On September 19, 1952 he was united in marriage to Mattie Lou Cunningham and they were blessed with 3 children.
Dean proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a 30 years plus employee of Harry Cooper Supply and enjoyed farming. Dean attended Fair Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of the Fair Grove Lion's Club. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with each one.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Lloyd Rowland; one sister, Norma Beverly; and son-in-law, Tim Keeling.
Survivors include his wife Mattie Lou of the home; his sons, Mike Rowland and wife, Patty, Fair Grove, Missouri, Darrell Rowland and wife, Paula, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Terry Rowland, Springfield, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Angelia Terry and husband, Chris, Wardsville, Missouri, Leslie Rowland and Emily Rowland, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 great grandchildren, Blake and Paige; 1 sister, Ann Vuchinich of California; along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Day Funeral Home in Marshfield, Missouri. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Elkland, Missouri with military honors provided by Webster County Veteran's Memorial Team. Visitation will be from 6 - 7 p.m. Friday, April 29th at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Cemetery Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
