She was the daughter of Joseph H. and Elizabeth M. (Stelzer) Spees. On Nov 23, 1940, she married Dallas E. 'Tip' Tippie, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are six sons: Harold 'Cork', Byron (Rebecca) and Daniel, all Lima, Larry, St. Marys, Timothy (Reba), Sidney, and Dolye, II, Marion; two daughters: Jerry Irene (William) Golden and Patricia Slone, both Lima; and twenty-three grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons: Doyle and infant, Daniel; two grandchildren: Dallas Golden and Sheri Tippie; two great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
A housewife, she was a 20 plus year member of the St. Johns Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and especially camping.
Graveside services will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, with Rev Terry Brock officiating.
