Savannah -Ricky Wayne Black, 46, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at his home under the care of Hospice. He was a native and life long resident of Savannah. He graduated from H.V. Jenkins High School in 1978. He was a communicant of St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and employed with Thunderbolt Marina. Ricky was an avid softball player and played with various teams in Savannah, most recently with the co-ed team at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. His father, Charles Pete Black preceded him in death. Ricky was a very devoted and loving husband and father. Survivors includes his wife of twenty-four years, Theresa Puder Black; daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Black, both of Savannah; mother, Peggy M. Black of Richmond Hill; brother, Larry Black of Canton, NC; two sisters, Lora Jeanne Collins of Richmond Hill and Leslie Dawn Parr of Allenhurst, GA and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 31, 2006 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 am Friday, September 1, 2006 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Reverend Patrick O'Brien, Celebrant.
