Marcha V. Nicol, has in own words, “flown out the window”. Off to a new adventure, in her 98th year, Marcha was a lifelong Christian. She was a gifted mother, poet, rancher and had a Masters’s degree in Psychology. She will always be remembered with love and admiration by family and friends. It is not only her words we remember, but how she made us feel: loved, supported and cherished. Her curiosity and love of people remained until the end of her life. Her maternal gifts will be left in the legacies of her grandchildren. In her words: “Everything is in Devine order.”

Marcha was born on June 29, 1918, in St. Paul, Minnesota and was adopted into the loving home of Charles and Maybel St. John. She married Robert Nicol, a United States Air Force pilot, and had four children. Marcha enjoyed music, playing the piano, writing, reading, gardening and adding to her many collections. Her special interests included conservation, animals, plants, human rights, world religions, philosophy, poetry and a member of many organizations.

Marcha is survived by her children, Robert (Jane) Nicol of Texas, Mary Lockett of Fairfield, California, Virginia Yount of New York, John (Alison) Nicol of Alamo, California; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Marcha is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nicol.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Rockville Stone Chapel, 4219 Suisun Valley Road, Fairfield, California. Burial to follow at the Rockville Cemetery.
