Danny Cooper, 57, died Tuesday in a local hospital surrounded by the family he loved so much.

Danny was born in Ringgold, Georgia, where he attended Ringgold High School. He has worked for Kenco in Chattanooga for 33 years as Transportation Team Leader.

Danny was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed nothing more than being with his family. Whether it was playing with daughter Anna's children, Brady and Olivia, working on yet another project car with father-in-law Gerald Hilton, or traveling to watch son Tyler play baseball or football, Danny was always there. Lately, the two have spent time together hunting and fishing.

Friends of Danny's knew that if they ever needed anything, all they had to do was ask, and sometimes that wasn't even necessary. Danny was there for them, ready and willing to lend a hand until the work was done, no matter the task.

Danny also loved to laugh, and enjoyed a good prank, even at his own expense.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Hilton Cooper; son Tyler Cooper; daughter Anna (Adam) Dutton; grandkids Brady and Olivia Dutton; parents Kenneth and Ruby Lewis Cooper; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Alleen Hilton; sister Teresa Morrison; brother-in-law, Jerry (Pam) Hilton; nephews, Jeremy Morrison and Eric (Stephanie) Morrison; niece Kerry (Austin) Phillips; and nephew Zachary Hilton; and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you make donations to the Chattanooga Heart Association, 519 E 4th St, Chattanooga, TN 37403.

Funeral services will be at 4 pm Friday, April 29, 2016 in the funeral home chapel with Worship Pastor Robert Street officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12-4 pm Friday, April 29 at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
