Brian Thomas McGonagle, 24, was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts and was raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He always loved the beach and spent summers with his grandparents at the family cottage swimming, climbing the rocks and catching lobsters. Brian had a love for surfing, music and playing drums in a band with his friends. He was a creative, caring young man with a great sense of humor and will be missed greatly by all his family and friends, but will never be forgotten.
Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Stephen and Lisa McGonagle; sister, Anne McGonagle; Grandparents, aunts, uncles and an extended family who all loved him dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church at 11 am. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home Southside Chapel Friday, June 28, 2013 from 6 – 8 pm.
