Viola Smithson Foster, 80, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her son’s home. She is a native of Cannon Co., TN.

She is survived by her children, Kerry (Denise) Foster and Kimberly Smithson all of Woodbury; Melissa (Kenneth) Young of Shelbyville and Tammy (Doug) McGonigal of Smyrna; Grandchildren, Kenny Johnson, Angie (Matt) Campbell, Cory Foster, Kaycie Fults, Cody (Mary) Fults, Tyler Fults, Ireland McGonigal, Greyson McGonigal; 15 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Willie (Jean) Smithson of Woodbury; Sisters, Lucille Mears of Woodbury, Gertrude Morris and Mary Grizzle all of Woodbury and Rachel (Howard) Johnson of Derby, KS.

She was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ, a homemaker and owner of Foster’s Greenhouse. She loved flowers and helping people. Ms. Foster was also a member of the Senior Citizen Center.

Ms. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Smithson and Angie Prater Smithson and her husband, Max Kelly Foster.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Wed., April 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
