A 4th generation resident of Deer Park and the Spokane, Washington area, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. Buddy is survived by Nancy; and is the father of Jerry D. Baump of Spangle, WA, Sherry Baump and Donna Baump, both of North Carolina, and Tammy Baump of Alaska; Buddy is the stepfather of Joey Goodwin of Kansas, and Joleen Sadberry and Lena Darrow both of Spokane. He enjoyed five grandchildren. His brother is Emmett Baump of Mead; and sisters are Joyce Hayes of Deer Park, Binnie Pierce of Spokane and Elaine Pierce of Spokane Valley. Buddy's brother, Ronald Baump preceded him in death. He attended the Deer Park Grade School and graduated high school with the class of 1960. He served with the United States Marine Corps for five years. He was employed as a meat cutter at Bonanza Meats in Spokane for many years; and as a mechanic for the Nine Mile School District.
Services honoring Buddy will be in Spokane at 3:00pm on Friday, April 29, 2016, in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the "Wounded Warrior Foundation."
