Glen Harry Newton, 87, of Toledo passed away April 26, 2016, at St. John Medical Center.


He was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Clay Center, Neb., to Edward and Margaret (Beemer) Newton. The family moved to the local area when Glen was a child.


On May 29, 1971, Glen married Judy Goewey in Kelso. Glen retired as a truck driver with Weyerhaeuser. Glen and Judy then moved back and forth between Longview and Arizona.


Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy Newton, March 17, 2015; a son, Anthony Newton; and a brother, Norman Newton.


He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Davison (Wayne) of Toledo and Dora Edwards of Longview; three brothers, his twin, Arthur Newton (Dorothy) of Longview, Bud Newton of Rochester, Wash., and Harold Newton (Cathy) in Canada; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.


At Glen’s request, no service will be held.
