Caroline B. Chunko, of R.R. 3, Box 120, Sugarloaf, died Monday morning.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah Garbacik, and resided in West Hazleton and Sugarloaf for the past 33 years.

Prior to retirement, she was employed in area garment factories and was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, West Hazleton.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Francis R., 1998; brother, Walter Garbacik; and a sister, Mary DeLucca.

Surviving are sons, Gerald, Drums; Gregory, Zions Grove; daughters, Mrs. Austin (Andrea) Smith, Ashley; Mrs. Edward (Cynthia) Laughlin, Port Charlotte, Fla.; brothers, Stanley, Hazleton; Edward Garbacik, West Hazleton; and the Rev. Louis Garbacik, pastor of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton; sisters, Mrs. Leon (Josephine) Jurewicz, West Hazleton; Sophia Garbacik, West Hazleton; and Mrs. Steven (Helen) Moisey, Tresckow.

Four grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday at 9 a.m., from the John J. Pusti Funeral Home, 480 W. Broad St., Hazleton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Transfiguration R.C. Church, at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. A private family viewing will be held.
