He was a farm laborer for 30 years and worked for Patterson Westside Farm.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Elena Mejia of Modesto; children, Johnny Mejia of Kentucky, and Elena Galvan of Stockton; brothers, Jose Mejia of Patterson and Alfredo Mejia of Texas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Patterson, with the rosary at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Patterson District Cemetery.
