Vicar at Tattingstone, Suffolk (1851). Educated at Harrow and Queen's College, Cambridge; B.A. 1833, M.A. 1836. Bengal Civil Service. Was appointed Vicar of Godalming in 1833, and Rector of Tattingstone in 1838. Magistrate and Commissioner of Taxes for Suffolk. Author of:
Two letters addressed to the supreme government of British India, regarding the abolition of suttees; and the best means of ameliorating the moral and intellectual condition of the natives of India (1827);
Letters from the North of Europe (1832); and,
