Jerry Lee Townsend, age 35, of Alliance, died Monday morning, April 25, 2016 at his home. He was born July 20, 1980 in Canton, Ohio, the son of John Townsend and Debra (McCoy) Hillock.
He was a 1999 graduate of Glen Oak High School in Canton and was owner/operator of Townsend Tree service in Alliance for 15 years, and was a certified Arborist. Jerry was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and loved fishing and camping. He was a loving husband, father, and son.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy M. (Prendergast) Townsend, whom he married June 15, 2001; four daughters, Harley, Chloe, Lexey, and Hannah Townsend all at home; his father, John (Carol) Townsend of Canton, and his mother, Debra Hillock of Benton Harbor, Michigan; two sisters, Teresa Townsend of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Shelly Townsend of Barring Springs, Michigan; a brother, John Townsend Jr. of Boardman.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Laughlin officiating. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
