Liberty, IN- Jerry A. Singer, 75, of Liberty, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9th, 2017 at Dayton VA Hospice.
Jerry was born in Lexington Kentucky, on May 9th, 1941, to James and Martha Crowe Singer. He graduated from Lexington High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kentucky. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Major. He married JoAnn Craig, on November 8th, 1985. Together they had five children. Kimberly Study (Tom) of Liberty, Susan Hillman of Lexington, Shane Coffman (Christyanne) of Liberty, Myra LaMantia (Mario) of Liberty, and Julie Coffman (Mark Rosenberger) of Liberty. They have 15 grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel in Liberty with Rev. Dana Hadden of Hanna's Creek Church officiating. Interment will follow in Abington Cemetery where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #122 and the VFW Post 3 1473 both of Liberty. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday January 13, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to Dayton VA Hospice.
