Mary Barnett was born March 7, 1934, in Miami County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Ralph and Rella Ford. She married Robert William Barnett April 2, 1951, at First Presbyterian Church in Kokomo. Mary retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo in 1987 after 35 years.
Surviving are her brother, William Ford, Arizona; four children, Barbara E. Parvin, Vicki L. Nielander, Charles A. Barnett, and Teresa A. Kothe; eight grandchildren, Daniel Parvin, Robert Parvin, Heather Snyder, Sarah Wooley, Jason Nielander, Jennifer Nielander, Jessica Ballenger, and Kaci Kothe; 15 great-grandchildren, Alana Parvin, Daniel Parvin II, Ethan Parvin, Robert Parvin Jr., Hannah Parvin, Gabriel Nielander, Gavin Nielander, Zayden Nielander, Clay Snyder, Owen Snyder, Madison Wooley, Nolan Wooley, Wyatt Ballenger, Dawson Ballenger; and one soon-to-be son of Heather and John Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald W. Ford, and her half brother, Emerson L. Bion.
Romans 8:18: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us."
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
