SFC US Army retired, Frederick Lancel Miller was born on July 10, 1938 in New Garden Township, Wayne County, Indiana, the son of Robert Frederick Miller (1911–1971) and Josephine Claire (Meek) Miller (1916–2005).

He was married to Monique Pierette, and he served in the US Army for 20 years, served in Vietnam and earned the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Frederick enjoyed cooking which led him to become a cook at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, and in addition, he had a great love for guns, clocks, wood working/carving, knives, animals and gardening.

A resident of Clarksville, Tennessee, he was 77 years old when he passed away on April 23, 2016.

Preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, he was survived by two sons, two daughters, two brothers, three sisters, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Celebration of Life Services were held at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
