Keziah J. Auchmoody, wife of John Auchmoody. died at her home 173 Union Avenue on Wednesday [March 4] in her 67th year. She had been stricken with apoplexy Sunday morning and did not rally.

Mrs. Auchmoody was born In Waterloo, N. Y., November 22, 1847, the daughter of Thos. H. Davenport and Naomi Minard. The family moved to New Paltz while she was a child. At the age of 17 she was married to James E. Freer. He died about 40 years ago. About 37 years ago she was married to Mr. Auchmoody, at New Paltz. In 1878, the family moved to West Chester County, and fourteen years ago came to Peeksklll.

The deceased was a member of the Van Nest Reformed Church, and an active worker in the church. She had been active in church work while at New Paltz and took up the work when she came here.

The deceased is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Nelson Clearwater of Yorktown and Mrs. Benjamin Van Horn, of Peeksklll. She also leaves two sisters Mrs. Joshua Schoonmaker, of Poughkeepsie and Mrs. A. T. Tilson, of Walden.

The funeral services were held from her late home yesterday (Friday), at 9.30 a. m. The interment was at the Lloyd cemetery, near New Paltz.
