He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Carolyn Owens Stone of the home; sons, Paul Stone, Jr. (Dyanne) of Lumberton and Ronnie Raybon (Janet) of Charlotte; a daughter, Gail Stone Johnson (Johnnie) of Calabash; grandchildren, Marcia Freeman Floyd (Calvin, Jr.), Amy Freeman West (Steve), Robby Freeman (Vanessa), Dawn Stone Pleasant (Thomas), Laura Stone Collins (Rian), Natalie Raybon Honeycutt (Travis), Mary Susan Raybon, Mark Stone, and Betsy Stone; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Bounds and Dr. David Elks officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be made to Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
