Wilma Ruth Graves 79, passed away in the Hemphill Care Center, Hemphill, Texas. Wilma was born in Centerview, Texas to J.B. and Lois Helen Ritter Strickland. She worked as a LVN for Hines Nursing Home. She was a member of the Bethel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her 3 daughters: Brenda Elliott and husband Travis of Milam, Texas, Raynette Mott and husband Cecil Paul of Hemphill, and Kathy Sowell and husband Brad of Pineland, her brother Charles Pierce and wife Carolyn of New Caney, her 2 sisters: Mattie Helston of Spencer, Wisconsin and Melissa Toney and husband Billy of Quitman, Texas, her 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Hardy Graves and her brother David Pierce.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr St. Hemphill, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:00AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pineland Cemetery.
