Cynthia Bullock passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 59 years old.

The daughter of Margaret and Ray Leggett, Cynthia grew up in Florence, South Carolina, and was the second of four children.

Cynthia graduated from University of South Carolina in 1970, where she earned a degree in Nursing. As a Registered Nurse she worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Miami, Cone Hospital in Greensboro, Greensboro Surgical Associates, Cardio Vascular Thoracic Surgeons of Greensboro and The NC Plastic Surgery Center.

Cynthia married Jim Bullock Jr. of Greensboro and moved to Homestead, Florida, where they lived until 1973, moving to Greensboro where they would make a home for themselves and son, Jim III.

Cynthia was sportsman, enjoying saltwater fishing aboard their boat, Jester, out of Hatteras Village, N.C., where they have a second home. She was active in the Sedgefield Women's Club, Women's Angler Association (WIFA) and other associations. She loved to travel, enjoyed her horses and dogs and running the Bull Horn ranch in Liberty where she and Jim raised registered Texas Long Horns. She was never afraid to tackle a task, handle a problem or lend a hand to anyone in need.
