In 1956 Jim started his banking career as a teller at First Trust and Savings Bank on Fifth Street in Zanesville, he retired in 1985 as Vice President of installment loans. Jim was a member of First United Methodist Church in Zanesville.
He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army during WWII. He was in the 63rd Armored Division stationed in southern France, southern Europe, and Southern Germany. Jim received two Purple Hearts for being wounded twice in Durzburg, Germany.
Jim is survived by his wife; a son; two daughters; a sister; and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Householder and a sister Faye Burwell.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Monday April 25 at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville. Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Joy French officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
