Orange Man Dies At Age of 103 Years.
Orange, Nov. 15 -- Funeral of John D. Holston, who died Saturday at his home at the age of 103, will be held Tuesday....Burial will be in Central Cemetery.
Mr. Holston, who made his home with his son, Leslie E. Holston, passed his 103d birthday on Oct 7. He was born in Newmarket, N.H. Before going to Orange 67 years ago he lived in Wendell.
For most of his life he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Universalist parish in North Orange and the Orange Lodge of Masons for 71 years. He is not only the oldest male in the town of Orange, but is also believed to be the oldest in Franklin County.
Mr. Holston was the son of John C. and Anna M. Holston. It is a coincidence that his father lived to be 100 years and eight months of age and his great-grandfather 100 years.
