Marion Hill Barnett, Jr.
Born May 2, 1933, son of Mary Ficklen Barnett and Marion Hill Barnett.

He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Animal Science. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After graduation he served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot of multi -engine KC97'S and the Georgia Air National Guard. He loved airplanes and flying. He was the owner of Barnett Angus Farm of Wilkes County. He was a member of Wilkes Co. Cattleman's Association, The Georgia Cattleman's Association and The American Angus Association.

Survivors are Mary Hill (Mamie) Barnett, Wilkes Wingfield Barnett, Lucy Evelyn Barnett and Vivian Ficklen Barnett. He was predeceased by one sister, Celeste Barnett Hatcher and a daughter, Lucy Ficklen Barnett.

Marion was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Washington.

Graveside services will be 11:00am Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington, GA or to a Parkinson's Foundation
