Joy Darleen Moody, 80 of Vacaville, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 10, 2016. She was born in West Virginia on February 8, 1936 to A.C. and Lucy Glover.
Joy was a veteran that honorably served in the Air Force for 2 years. In 1955 she met and married Roger Moody, and together they raised 4 beautiful daughters.
Joy loved being a wonderful mother and felt it was the most important role the Lord could have ever given her and she loved her children without limits. She was avid reader and loved sharing the vast knowledge she acquired through the thousands of books she read. She loved to sew and was quite the seamstress. Joy always had a deep faith, she loved her Church and it became the highlight of her life when she began New Hope Church of Vacaville, her heartfelt connection to everyone at New Hope was undeniable and she loved them all.
Joy is survived by her daughters Michelle, Janet, Valerie, and Eve. Also, her son-in-law Clif Coran, grandsons Christopher Markoulis, Hans Amador, Michael Amador, and Reye Coran, great grandson Christopher Jr. Markoulis, and great Granddaughter Kennedy Lea Dean Markoulis.
She will forever be remembered for her big sparkling green eyes that matched her big loving heart and smile. She could not have been more perfectly named.
Service Information:
Burial will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon CA. 95620. At 10:00am Friday April 22, 2016, with Church services to follow at her beloved New Hope Church of Vacaville, 4910 Allison Pkwy, Vacaville, CA 95688, at 11:30 am. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating her most precious life.
