Alice Opal Dillon, 73, of Belpre, died April 23, 2016, at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born June 8, 1942, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Jesse and Helen Campbell Sams.

She worked at Mary's Plane View and Owl's Nest for many years.

She is survived by four children, Lisa Haynes of Belpre, Candace Reed of Parkersburg, Steve Barton of Parkersburg and Ralph Kerns of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two brothers, John Sams of Parkersburg and Jim Sams of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dillon; and eight brothers and sisters, Dolly Sams, Daisy Weber, Millie Beall, Norma Nedeff, Mary James, Bob Myers, Joann Sams and David Sams.

Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lubeck Cemetery.
